Accessibility by people with visual impairments and other disabilities is built into Digital Fife.
Features such as screenreader compatibility, user control of font size and contrast, the facility to read aloud pages and automatic translation ensure Digital Fife websites can be used by all.
Digital Fife websites consistently score highly on internationally recognised accessibility tests.
ESOL is English classes for speakers of other languages living in Fife. People can join a class at any time in the year.
How can ESOL help? ESOL will help people speak, listen, read and write English. It teaches from Beginner English to English for exams. It can help people to integrate into or feel part of their community, access further education and find a job.
ESOL East Fife is based in the Cosmos Learning Centre, Abbey Walk, St Andrews, KY16 9LB.
Before you join a class please contact us to book an appointment. We will assess your level of English and discuss your needs and expectations. Please call us on 01334 659363 or e-mail ESOL Coordinator Lucy Wilson at lucy.wilson@fife.gov.uk or ESOL Group Tutor Dominika Michalska at dominika.michalska@fife.gov.uk.
If you want, you can ask your teacher to help you prepare and take Scottish national qualifications in English (from basic to intermediate user of English). These qualifications are based on topics related to everyday work, study and social situations.
